Candle holder made of ceramic clay for “aarti”, by potters at Confetti studio pottery, Daronda village, Bolpur. The curved ceramic handle not only enhances the beauty of the holder but also makes it safe and easy to handle.

How is Confetti pottery made?

The pottery displayed at Confetti is all earthenware, a kind of functional art pottery for everyday use with artistic glazes and shapes. The clay used is processed clay. The goods are mostly thrown on electrical potters’ wheel, finished and glazed by hand. The glazes are all in the form of different coloring oxides and chemicals.
