Description
Malas or garlands are popular decorative items that are used in religious ceremonies or for enhancing the decor of ceremonial spaces. They are popular all over India and Bangladesh.
These garlands are made from “shola”, a popular underwater crop in Bengal, imitating rajanigandha flowers with a marigold at the end, by artisans from Sarberia, South 24 Parganas. They are long-lasting, well-knit, non-perishable, and require little to no maintenance.
